Walking Dead inspired Zombie Ring

Woo Hoo!! All my shows are getting back into full swing!! The Walking Dead is back this Sunday and in tribute to all my fellow zombie lovers out there here is a "Zombies Love Brains" ring!

I cannot wait to see how this is going to go :)

 

 

All you need is a ring with a deep enough surface to add some resin, EnviroTex Lite, Mod Podge, some sand, and a printed out image.

 

This is a chunky ring I found at Wal-Mart and it had a plastic sticker-like piece in the recessed top. I picked at a corner until it lifted and was able to pull the sticker piece out.

I used the sticker piece as a template to make the image the right size and to trim it to fit into the ring.

Coat the ring's recessed area with some Mod Podge...

Add the image and coat the top with Mod Podge too.
Let this dry.
You may want to add a couple of thin coats instead of one thick coat if you are using an inkjet image as the ink may smear or bleed.

 

 

Once the Mod Podge has dried settle the ring into a bowl of sand to keep it level.



 

Mix up a batch of EnviroTex Lite Resin and carefully fill the recessed area of the ring.

Let this set for 24 - 72 hours to be completely hardened.

Pull your treasure from the sand and show off your zombie pride!
