Gothic Rose Ring

Tonight's project is a gothic rose ring!

I'm using EnviroTex Lite, black coloring, PearlEx powder, and a rose mold.

The great pewter colored metallic finish is created by brushing the mold with PearlEx 663 Silver.
PearlEx works wonderfully with resin! You can see all the colors they make here: http://www.jacquardproducts.com/pearl-ex-pigments.html

This is one of several great molds by http://juliesbits.blogspot.com/ They work wonderfully with resin and polymer clay and can even be used for food! You can check them out here:

Mix up a batch of EnviroTex Lite and color it black.
*ETI recommends wearing gloves for your safety* Gloves also help keep your nails nice!

Fill the mold and let set for 24- 72 hours until hardened.

I love how detailed the mold is and how the PearlEx gives it a great metallic finish!

All you need to turn this into a ring is some E-6000 and a ring blank.
Apply some E-6000 to the ring blank and press firmly to the back of the rose.
Let set for 24 hours to get maximum adhesion.

Now you have a sweet and shiny rose ring!
