Vampire Diaries is back with it's season 5 premier tonight and the first episode of the spin-off series The Originals follows it!
This project is super simple but looks awesome.
I'm using EasyCast Resin, Castin' Crafts mold release, a Wilton Gum Paste mold, Red and Blue Opaque Pigment, and red glitter.
Spray the mold with Mold Release.
Mix up a batch of resin.
Color the resin red and add the tiniest amount of blue to give it a deep blood red color.
Add the red glitter to give it some sparkle!
Fill your chosen cavity with the colored resin.
Let this set to harden for 24-72 hours.
To turn this into a pendant I'm using E-6000, a chain, and a bail.
I'm using Aanraku Silver Leaf Medium Bails. Aanraku has loads of pieces that work perfectly with resin! You can check out what they offer here: http://store.abasg.com/mm5/merchant.mvc
Add some E-6000 to the bail...
Press firmly to the back of the piece and let set for 24 hours for maximum adhesion.
Doesn't this just scream vampire romance!!
