Spooktacular Halloween Earrings

Welcome to Day 1 of 13 Nights of Halloween
Tonight I'm sharing some spooktacular earrings!

The key to the spooktacular color effect is PearlEx 692 Duo Green-Purple
PearlEx works wonderfully with resin. You can check out all the colors they make here: http://www.jacquardproducts.com/pearl-ex-pigments.html

Spray your mold with mold release and let dry completely.
Once the mold is dry brush a coat of PearlEx Powder over the mold cavities...

This is a mold from Yaley Enterprises.
They make resin and Deep Flex Resin Molds along with a variety of colorants.
Check out all the offer here: http://yaley.com/SitePages.asp?ID=46

Tap the excess powder out over a piece of paper so you can get it back in the jar.

Mix up a batch of EasyCast Resin and color it black...
*ETI recommends wearing gloves for your safety* Gloves also help keep your nails nice!

Pour into the mold...

Let these set for 24 -72 hours to harden.

The PearlEx Duo has a great color change look depending on how the light hits it- Purple...

or Green!

To turn these triangles into earrings you'll need a drill bit, some earrings, jump rings, and pliers.

Drill a hole in the top of the triangle for the jump ring but don't get too close to the edge.

Attach a jump ring...

Attach the jump rings to the earring pieces and you spooky color-change earrings are ready to wear!
