Birthday Cupcake

Today is my birthday and for my project I'm making a cupcake pin!

This project is made with EnviroTex Jewelry Clay.

Don your gloves and mix up a batch of Jewelry Clay.
Powder your work surface and roll the clay out to between an 1/8 inch and a 1/4 inch thick.

Stamp your chosen image into the clays surface to create indents.

If your image doesn't come out the way you like you can reroll the clay and repeat until you are satisfied with the results.

Using an exacto knife cut around the outer edge of the image.

You can smooth out any rough edges once the excess clay has been removed.

Add some varying sized gemstones for the sprinkles.

Using some PearlEx or eyeshadow gently color the surface of the clay.

I found these eyeshadow sets at the Dollar Tree.

Let this set for 24 hours to harden.

Because the eyeshadow can get smeared onto other surfaces I'm coating the piece with some Resin Spray.

Once the resin spray has dried you can turn the piece into jewelry.

Add some E-6000 to the pin back (or bail if you'd prefer a pendent)

Press firmly to the back of the piece and let set for 24 hours to reach maximum adhesion.

Isn't this a sweet way to celebrate?! And it's calorie-free!
