Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Bracelet

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special airs tomorrow night!!
I am so excited to see David Tennant and Billie Piper!!
This project is my homage to 50 years of The Doctor:

I started by printing out this image so that each circle was just under a half inch.
I found it on Google with 11 of the Doctors but I had to create the one for Peter Capaldi.

Seal with Mod Podge...

I then used a half inch paper punch to liberate the images...

Seal the edges with Mod Podge too...

Now for the tedious and time consuming part!!
This mold is from Yaley and it has a variety of different size circles.

They make resin and Deep Flex Resin Molds along with a variety of colorants.
Check out all the offer here: http://yaley.com/SitePages.asp?ID=46

I'm using the 2 smallest cavities which fit the 1/2" circles perfectly.
Spray the mold with mold release and mix up a batch of EasyCast Resin.
*ETI recommends wearing gloves for your safety* Gloves also help keep your nails nice!

Fill the cavities with clear resin and add the image face down...

Make sure the back of the image gets covered with resin and that there aren't any trapped air bubbles.
Let these set for 24 to 72 hours until hardened.

Repeat this process until you have all 12 doctors secured in resin.
Then to make the bracelet you'll need some E-6000 and a bracelet base.

I found this bracelet at Hobby Lobby and it happened to have 12 spaces- How Kizmet!!

Apply some E-6000 to the back of the resin piece and firmly press into place...

Repeat for all the pieces and let set for 24 hours to reach maximum adhesion.

Now you can show off your BBC savvy bracelet as we await the Doctor Who Christmas Special!
