Writing with Jewelry Clay

This is such a cute and easy project that creates personalized one-of-a-kind jewelry!

Mix up a batch of jewelry clay...

Roll it into a snake that's about 1/4" to 1/2" thick...

Pick up the right side of the snake being careful not to let it break and working from the left side create a word in cursive.
You could also print out a word using a cursive font if you need a guide.
Press some eye screws into the clay on each end of the word...

Coat the piece using some PearlEx and let it set for 24 hours to harden.
This piece is coated using PearlEx 692 Duo Green-Purple.

You can also make initials, they only need 1 screw eye.
This piece is coated with PearlEx 656 Brilliant Gold

PearlEx works great with resin and jewelry clay.
Check out all the colors they have here: http://www.jacquardproducts.com/pearl-ex-pigments.html

Attach chains to the screw eyes with jump rings and they are ready to wear or give as gifts!
